Moorit Mouflon Icelandic Sheepskin - "Corylus"
Premium, naturally tanned Moorit (brown) Mouflon (pattern) Icelandic sheepskin from my 2024 flock; Ruler pictured is 36” long, for scale. This lamb was raised with care in its natural family group on healthy Whatcom County pastures.
This skin was tanned by woman-owned Driftless Tannery using a chemical-free bark-tanning process. Bark tanning gives the underside of this sheepskin a supple leather feel, and the underside of the hide has a faint pink hue from the mimosa bark used in the process.
All of my hides come from sheep that fed Whatcom County families. Skins may have some imperfections including shallow knife marks or small holes that do not show through to the fleece side. You’ll receive complete care instructions with your sheepskin.
